The main focus of The-Asterismos is to celebrate and provide exposure for your excellent literature deviations. Each Sunday, I will be taking the time to feature a number of outstanding pieces submitted to the group during the past week. I encourage you to browse through the work below! Each deviant featured is very worthy of your support.

dark blue cadavers.crawling waves like claws
pulling by both ankles
into depths dark blue deep.
spitting up droplets of
bleeding salt wounds
crests licking achilles
wash bodies ashore
with asylum minds and
tangled hair.
hurricane arms wrap around
blistered cadavers
safe in the eye --
calm of the storm.
drown into the depths
dark blue deep.
Trickling Airthe Cloud Recliner - northwest in summer,
gasps and sputters while watching its
stuffing spill distilled water; overcast.
and it thinks of Man, waiting to drink the
air out of Cloud's kinks (the Earth moves)
when condensation soaks floating vapor.
no one is there to drown in Cloud's air that
trickles sunward without a care,
coating the damp, cramped Earth with its last breath.

It is summer-
When the night comes,
I will sing you to sleep
with songs of summer nights
and fireflies, the warmth of magic
that rests on your skin like dew.
I will run my fingers through
your hair, keeping each tendril
out of your face like a loving shepherd
of the hills of your cheekbones, your
forehead, your gently closed eyelids.
When the morning sun rises,
I will spark the stars in your eyes
and fuel them to burn brighter
than the sun that reaches down
to kiss your skin with fiery lips.
I will urge the breeze to whisper
sweet nothings in your ear and
make you feel like you're flying,
like you've grown invincible and
beautiful wings.
And when the autumn comes,
I'll do my best not to ask where you've gone.

:thumb374747029: wallflower clippingsthere's scar tissue in her throat,
swollen around the words she never said;
dark rings around her eyes
like planets unremembered, and
a staleness to her touch,
the crystalline Dead Sea.
she's living like a story
that's already been told
"if no one loved you
would you mean anything at all?"
in that moment,
we forget to exist.

Note: This is an extra large, extra early feature due to the fact that I, in my absent-mindedness, completely forgot about last week's. Sorry!
See you next week for Showcase 009!
